This personal project uses commercial photographs and transforms them into life like film noir characters using Nano Banana Pro and Higgsfield Kling AI image and video generation models. The beauty of the black and white film look is something I have always been passionate about, and being able to use AI to give life to images and explore character creation at the touch of a button is something photographers from previous generations could never have imagined. Through the project I hope to inspire a potential commercial campaign or perhaps ideas for my own short film. The film noir style of filmmaking is characterized by such elements as cynical heroes, stark lighting effects, frequent use of flashbacks, intricate plots, and an underlying existentialist philosophy. The genre was prevalent mostly in American crime dramas of the post-World War II era.
